Chefs Ellie & RJ Tiglao | Kulinarya, Boston MA

Kulinarya is a cuisine inspired by sibling duo, Ellie and RJ Tiglao. It is a unique marriage of traditional Filipino dishes blended with a western twist – perfectly bringing together savory and decadence in every plate. Much like the cuisine they concoct, the siblings live in opposite ends of the country – Ellie in Boston and RJ in San Francisco – and celebrate their dreams and serve their food to a loyal group of food enthusiasts and the communities who have grown to love them and their cuisine.
Their first project remains the most well-known: Pamangan, a Filipino American dinner series that incorporates the flavors and cooking techniques of the Philippines into dishes that range from highly traditional to loosely inspired. Though they now primarily operate on opposite coasts, Ellie and RJ remain a duo in their collaborative menus and dialogue of technique, .
Ellie's new project that highlights what sets apart the Philippine archipelago from the rest of Southeast Asia, translating the distinct Filipino palette into what is available in New England. While Rj’s working on a new project “Limits” that incorporates rustic filipino flavors with unique cooking techniques, while implementing distinctive, yet, modern presentation.
