The Filipino Food Movement (FFM) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose focus is to preserve, promote, and progress Filipino cuisine. Established in 2014, FFM created the first Filipino American food community through events, mainstream media advocacy, and social digital platforms.
KULINARYA LIVE! and SUPPORT FILIPINO TAKEOUT campaign were launched as part of FFM’s COVID-19 response, to assist Filipino restaurants and food entrepreneurs around the globe. The two campaigns bring Filipino food to an audience of upwards of 1.5M monthly on social media during the global quarantine. |
SAVOR FILIPINO® SUMMIT
On Monday, June 29, 2020, the Filipino Food Movement will host its third Savor Filipino event -- Savor Filipino Summit. This is the first of a series of virtual summits, a gathering of restaurant owners and food entrepreneurs from all across the world. The Summit’s objective bring together the food community to share ideas, learn from each other, and from our line up of speakers and guests on how to survive during and post COVID. We hope that we generate enthusiasm and fervor to radically re-imagine and re-shape the future and economy of Filipino cuisine. With the hope that we will soon get out of this pandemic, and we are looking forward to our new normal in a post-COVID19 world. We plan to take the reins and carve a place for our cuisine in the global mainstream where we promote our culture, celebrate our purveyors, and uplift a healing world. As a service to our community, which is economically impacted by the global pandemic, we are offering this free event to all Filipino food entrepreneurs. Without barriers to entry, we believe that the solutions to our current situation will come from within our food community. We are stronger together. |
